Ok, so during one of my most recent browsings, I found the sequel to a game I didn't honestly expect to have one. As you could've guessed, that game is Enough Plumbers. If you haven't seen my review of Enough Plumbers, or if you've never played it yourself, Enough Plumbers originally looked like a Mario knockoff but with a unique gimmick: For every coin you touch another clone appears, and you control all of them at the same time. Well this time around Enough Plumbers 2 keeps that gimmick used properly while bringing a new load of things to the table. Theres more powers, more puzzles, and even a new art-style, while keeping that original soul.
Lets start with the art-style change. For starters, while still looking mario inspired, it does look more original. You look different, the enemies look different, it all looks different, new, better even. A noticeable change is a theme it has. In the first game, Enough Plumbers acted out like a game you'd play on the TV. This showed in many ways, like how when you reset a level it goes to TV static for a second, or how there are always TV lines like on older screens. It still keeps the TV lines, but there are many changes. This time around, the theme is a play. When you reset a level, the first thing that happens is a curtain lifts up to reveal the level. The clouds and things like that are hanging by ropes and such. A neat little change is the "hub world". This time its a series of toilets. Hey, you're a plumber, to it makes sense.
Lets move on to the new abilities. Theres ones like the mini plumber, the suicide bomb plumber, Dracula plumber, pogo stick/jackhammer plumber, astronaut plumber, ghost plumber, as well as the older ones. Ones like the mini plumber and suicide plumber are quite literal, no need to go into them. Dracula lets you fly, astronaut reverses that plumber's gravity, ghost floats upwards, from the top to the bottom of the screen infinitely until you die, allowing you to go through walls and activate coins, and then the pogo stick/jackhammer one jumps around and destroys breakable blocks. Theres also golden power ups, which are basically pools of a certain type of power up. These work really well, and are all unique and different from each other. This adds new levels to the game, keeping it fresh and fun.
The game is good, better than the original. New and exciting things to explore, new theme, new levels! It really doesn't feel like a level pack to the original game, not at all. Its a puzzel platformer, if you haven't noticed, and works pretty darn well.
