Vox Populi, Vox Dei A game about heart break and werewolves. With a cheesy description like that, you'd think not many would wanna play this game, right? Well that doesn't matter when you see a screenshot of you ripping apart a werewolf with your bear hands! This pixelated game is short and sweet, and fun to speed through.
You're character looks like a straight up hoodlum. No joke, this guy has hoodlum in his every step. He has his hood up and around his face, like a hoodlum. Even the way he rips apart werewolves has hoodlum all over it!
And this brings up the main way off attacking. You pounce on them, literally pounce, and then just hack away. This mechanic is done well, because since it takes a while to kill a werewolf, theres time for others to see you, and if they see you... Well the open up their chest and shoot blood(?) at you of course! This attack is impossible to dodge, and you can't get off of a werewolf in mid attack, so since its a one hit kill, you'll die.
Another neat mechanic is your invisibility. You can use this to sneak by werewolves or whatever. But be warned, the invisibility wears off if they bump into you, or if you go through a teleporter. This game does have plenty of puzzle aspects to it, especially once you get your girlfriend(hey I did say there was heart break in this game). The simple things like her inability to pounce or turn invisible leads to some neat puzzles.
Now did I mention how bloody this game is? Its really bloody! When you rip apart a werewolf, blood goes everywhere! It drips all over the floor, the background, the floor below you, when you're done killing all the werewolves on a screen, it'll be covered in red, I guarantee you that.
Over all, short game, but fun to play and replay, so still fun. All the mechanics are done really well and the same goes for animations and sprites. So really well done game.
