Blade Rush is one of those crazy ninja stealth-massacre type of games. Its a 2D platformer designed around single screen levels. Your goal is to kill all the guards and then get to the exit. How fast this is done determines whether you get the gold, silver, or bronze medal.

You're a ninja, so jumping and wall-jumping is your thing. The only thing missing is the double jumping, which would make the game a whole lot better. Nearly any platformer could use a double jump here and there. Theres this range around you at all times, and once an enemy get within that range, you can instantly dash-kill them, no matter how many walls are between the two of you. You can easily set up a chain of three or more kills, might take some patience, and patience isn't gonna win that gold medal. You fly, on top of the body, with the momentum you have, reminding me of Vox Populi, Vox Dei. This is sometimes good, as you can jump off the body in mid-air using this as a single-use double jump. This is mostly bad, however, because its a pain trying to get off of it and out of sight of guards.

There are three moods that guards have: Unaware of their appending doom, alerted because of a nearby dead body, and oh snap you've been spotted! Guards really just walk back and forth, stopping at the edge of a platform to look at whatever they look at. Once they spot you, you have a second to get out of their line of fire or kill them before they kill you. When they see a dead body you left around, they really just walk around faster. Thats it.

The music isn't too impressive, not much to say there. The art style is a simple, pixelated one focusing on the colors red and yellow as well as multiple shades of black, white, and gray.

The game is fun and fast paced if you can get a hold on its reigns. The platforming can actually be a bit floaty, not being able to get off a dead body as if you're some necrophiliac is a huge pain, but over all fun and very satisfying to complete a level or unleash a chain of murders. Its not as much stealth as it is murder everything before you get caught.
